The recent BUCS Boxing Championships saw a competitive lineup of over 200 student-athletes representing universities from across the UK.

The annual BUCS Boxing Championships provide a platform for students to showcase their skills and compete against other talented fighters in a national competition.

Students from around the UK traveled to the South Coast of England to take part in the three-day event last weekend, which was held at the Ravelin Sports Centre at the University of Portsmouth.

Opened in September 2022, the £57 million facility boasts an eight-lane 25m swimming pool, a 175-station fitness suite, and an 8-court sports hall which provided the venue for this year’s Championships.

The event proved once again to be a testament to the growth and future of boxing as a UK university sport, with over 50 institutions being represented across a total of 21 different weight categories.
