From new BUCS records to British records and even a European record, the 2023-24 BUCS Short Course Championships showcased three highly competitive and exhilarating days of UK university sport.

The results for the inaugural swimming championship event of the UK university sport season are in!

This past weekend, hundreds of students from almost 100 different institutions proudly represented their universities across three days of intense competition at the impressive Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield, England.

From Friday’s heats to the weekend’s finals, students passionately competed in popular disciplines, breaking records and swimming for the first gold medals of the swimming season.

Loughborough University once again claimed all three Overall titles at this year’s Championships.

With dominant displays across all disciplines, the African Violet secured the Men’s, Women’s, and Overall titles to retain their Short Course Swimming crown.
