As a UK university student, you can explore various archery opportunities.
Over 70 U.K. universities regularly enter men’s and women’s archery teams in competitive events providing opportunities for students of all ability levels, from complete beginners to experienced international level archers. Experienced players will have the opportunity to compete against some of the best archers across the nation whilst novice archers can compete for the first time against those of a similar level of experience.
With opportunities for students of all ability levels to get involved in competitive events as both a team and as an individual, joining a university archery club provides both a great opportunity to pursue the sport but also a great social setting.

BUCS University Archery has four categories; recurve, compound, longbow and barebow.
Archery clubs across the U.K. will train weekly, with some of the most competitive teams meeting four to five teams per week, working with experienced coaches to assist them in competing at a high level.
Many U.K. university archery clubs with will run regular introductory courses throughout the academic year to provide new students with the opportunity experience the sport. Upon joining an archer club, students will be categorised in one of two categorises depending on their prior experience: Novice or Experienced. A novice archer would be a student who started shooting that academic year.

With opportunities to compete both indoor and on the beach, student’s have a wide range of volleyball opportunities when competing in the U.K.
Each academic year U.K. university archery teams will enter three main BUCS championships events.
In addition to the three main BUCS Championships events below, many U.K. universities will enter their archery clubs into local or regional archery leagues to provide their players with additional opportunities to compete alongside their degrees.

Archery Scholarships
Some of the leading universities for archery in the U.K. will be able to offer their student’s some form of scholarship. U.K. university sport scholarships are awarded in different ways at each university, some scholarships may help to reduce tuition fees whereas others may help to provide a support package to cover the cost of specialist training and support. The standard required to achieve an archery scholarship will vary between universities.
