There are a wide range of opportunities for students to remain involved in fencing alongside their university education in the U.K.
Each year U.K. University fencing teams will take part in both league and knockout competitions that conclude in March where the national team champion will be determined. An individual national tournament is also held in February each year, as part of BUCS Nationals. Outside of university events, some fencing clubs may decide to enter into other tournaments across the U.K. to provide a further opportunity for their players to compete.
Students who pursue fencing when in the U.K. will have the opportunity to compete as both as part of a team and as an individual, providing regular opportunities to train and compete throughout the academic year.
