The Taekwondo Championship Series takes place each academic year and provides students with the opportunity to represent their university in official competitive events.
The series is made up of three main championships events, including:
- Autumn Championships – typically held in December
- Winter Championships – typically held in February
- Spring Championships – typically held in March
Each championship attracts over 300 athletes from universities all over the U.K making it the largest university martial art and combat sport competition in Western Europe!
During each of the three championships, the competitors will earn points for their institution which will count towards their university’s overall ranking. Following the final Spring Championship series, the overall National University Champion will be named.
In addition to the University Championship Series, clubs will also provide their students with the option of entering further local and national events, such as the GTUK National Championships and the Scottish International Championships.
