Climbing is a fast growing sport at the university level, providing students of all ability levels the opportunity to get involved and experience it at a competitive level.
Many U.K. universities will have their own their own on campus climbing facilities, providing their students with regular training opportunities. In addition to those facilities on campus, university climbing clubs will also use facilities local to the area.
Climbing clubs throughout the U.K. are very inclusive and welcome in student-athletes of all genders, ability and levels of experiences. In addition to providing students with a great opportunity to stay fit and enter competitive events, they also provide a fantastic environment for students to meet and socialise.

Compete in a variety of different climbing competitions
Throughout the academic year, U.K. university climbing clubs will enter into a wide variety of competitions. The BUCS National Championship will provide climbers the opportunity to compete for a national title, whereas other local and regional events take place regularly throughout the academic year providing a further opportunity for competitive climbing.

Sport Scholarships
Some U.K. universities are able to reward talented athletes with scholarships to support their involvement in their sport alongside their studies.
Each student will need to be considered for a scholarship on a case by case basis. If you have previously competed to a high standard and would like to explore the possibility of pursuing a scholarship in the U.K. we are happy to provide free guidance to help you assess your availability options in the U.K.
U.K. University Netball Scholarships
Some of the leading Netball universities in the U.K. will be able to offer their student’s some form of scholarship. U.K. university sport scholarships are awarded in different ways at each university, some scholarships may help to reduce tuition fees whereas others may help to provide a support package to cover the cost of specialist training and support. The standard required to achieve a netball scholarship will vary between universities.
